like Fisker&#8217;s Karma, and the Chevy&#8217;s Volt \u00a0make allowance for long distance \u00a0if necessary without dealing with &#8220;range anxiety&#8221;. \u00a0But owners of the Volt are commonly appreciating the\u00a0luxury\u00a0of &#8220;fuel anxiety,&#8221; Hertz is \u00a0striving to have access to all the EVs for the public to rent, a great way for people to \u00a0transition off fossil fuel vehicles and test EVs out. \u00a0Hertz&#8217;s EVs range from the Tesla to the Leaf with crossovers like the Volt and the soon to be Karma along with a slew of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/slideshow\/2011\/07\/31\/automobiles\/31bmw-slideshow-9.html\">German EVs emerging<\/a>. \u00a0New vehicles \u00a0are planned to be available in the USA soon, like BYD&#8217;s E6. \u00a0Hertz remains the leader in electric vehicle rentals, and the rental company is testing the wireless inductive charging system with a pilot program at corporate headquarters. \u00a0The future of EVs \u00a0is presently functioning in the City of Shenzhen, China\u00a0 where 100 fast chargers are already deployed and a charging infrastructure \u00a0that supports the use of electric vehicles is in place. \u00a0In\u00a0Shenzhen, \u00a0the new purchase of a BYD vehicle also comes with two level 2 chargers.
