The Science from 350.org<\/p><\/div>\n

A campaign is launched around the science of 350 \u00a0and the world responds by participation unparalleled\u00a0\u00a0for a global day of action on the Climate Challenge.\u00a0The summary of 350: it \u00a0is the safe amount of CO2 in the atmosphere to stop global climate change. \u00a0According\u00a0to\u00a0scientific\u00a0research, it is our target. \u00a0How do we get everyone focused on the goal target? \u00a0This \u00a0event generates\u00a0momentum, a call to\u00a0action, not just in the USA Senate or at the UN’s Conference in\u00a0Copenhagen, but from each of us to ourselves. \u00a0As we become more aware of, and start to take personal\u00a0responsibly\u00a0for our environment. \u00a0This resonates true for many people, as we witness the\u00a0length\u00a0and\u00a0breadth\u00a0people\u00a0went to\u00a0globally to participate all around the world. \u00a0Their actions are captured in the photos taken on this historical day, here below is what we did.<\/p>\n

World Team Now<\/a> ended up being involved in the production of three events for this day. \u00a0Two\u00a0within \u00a0our New York \u00a0communities; \u00a0and one in our base in Malibu, California.

Thanks to Principal Mrs. Edie O’Brian and supportive teachers at Our Lady of Malibu School<\/a>, our World Team Aerial Art event was a success. \u00a0 Our production team made it happen, and we appreciate the work done by Emma Cramp of\u00a0SpectralQ<\/a>, Nicole Picard and Laura Fercano of World Team Now. \u00a0Our goal was to raise awareness and have fun.<\/p>\n

The \u00a0launch of \u00a0Our Lady of Malibu’s School’s new computer building, was schedule for the same day. \u00a0The original computer building burned down in the Malibu fires. \u00a0World Team started a solar roof campaign for Our Lady of Malibu School’s new computer building on Climate Action Day October 24th ,\u00a0with the first donation. \u00a0What was taken away by the fire, now newly re-built, might someday gain it’s energy from the fire of the sun, with a solar roof.<\/p>\n

School children were the real stars, and after all it is for them we have to act. \u00a0A week of Causes, which gave them a break from their school uniform, wearing red and a smile for \u201cJust say no to drugs”, and learning \u00a0from groups focused on service and change;\u00a0350<\/a>, World Team Now<\/a> and Spectral Q.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"DSC01257\"<\/a>\"DSC01261\"<\/a>\"DSC01238\"<\/a>After “Crazy Legs” Skate Club<\/a> on Wednesday \u00a0at the Brooklyn Salvation Army, skaters for World Team Now made amends for the North Eastern that kept the masses away in Central Park last Saturday the 17th with the CPDSA <\/a>event. \u00a0We played around with different ways to enbody zero missions.<\/p>\n

There were still die hard skaters from CPDSA and World Team Now supporters, that showed up any way, evidenced by the photo below by photographer Fred George<\/a>.This event\u00a0occurred\u00a0because of the support of a team of many but especially Michael from Tavern on the Green<\/a>, Sinan Kamagate, Bob Nichols, and our ever dedicated board member and photographer Albert Boulanger. \u00a0Yes, World Team Now<\/a> is growing!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
