Here is what appears to be in the box of candy, but one never knows when you bite into it, what is on the inside&#8230;.<\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: ';';\"> <span style=\"font-family: ';';\">The American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan (H.R.1), passed by Congress today is expected to be forwarded, and signed into law shortly.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: ';';\">Highlights from the Stimulus Package are:<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"Section1\">\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: purple; font-family: ';';\">Renewable Energy Incentives<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: black; font-family: ';';\">$20 billion in tax incentives for renewable energy and energy efficiency over 10 years, including: extending tax credits for energy produced from wind, geothermal, hydropower and landfill gas; <\/span><span style=\"color: purple; font-family: ';';\">(This is very exciting!)<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: ';';\"><br \/>\ngrants to build renewable energy facilities ;(<\/span><span style=\"color: purple; font-family: ';';\">hope many can benefit, this is great especially if policy comes into play to inspire people towards transformation)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: ';';\">tax credits for purchases of energy-efficient furnaces, windows and doors, or insulation;(<\/span><span style=\"color: purple; font-family: ';';\">NYSERDA co-generation, heat coolant geothermal?)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: ';';\">tax credit for families that purchase plug-in hybrid vehicles (<\/span><span style=\"color: purple; font-family: ';';\">finally incentives, the Electric Vehicle will indeed be resurrected, and with better batteries: A123 <\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: ';';\">)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: fuchsia; font-family: ';';\">Energy<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: ';';\">About $50 billion for energy programs, focused chiefly on efficiency and renewable energy, (<span style=\"color: fuchsia;\">ok, this gets us going!<\/span>)\u00a0including<br \/>\n$5 billion to weatherize modest-income homes;<br \/>\n$6.4 billion to clean up nuclear weapons production sites; (<span style=\"color: fuchsia;\">this merits further discussion later<\/span>)<br \/>\n$11 billion toward a so-called &#8220;smart electricity grid&#8221; &#8212;<span style=\"color: fuchsia;\">Yes, it is so anitquated our Grid, it&#8217;s time <\/span>to reduce waste;<br \/>\n$13.9 billion to subsidize loans for renewable energy projects (<span style=\"color: fuchsia;\">Elation!\u00a0\u00a0World Team -Dream to Reality<\/span>);<br \/>\n$6.3 billion in state energy efficiency and clean energy grants(<span style=\"color: fuchsia;\">NYSERDA&#8217;s deserves\u00a0support for their programs)<\/span><br \/>\n$4.5 billion make federal buildings more energy efficient<span style=\"color: fuchsia;\"> (&#8220;Got to be the change &#8230;.&#8221;) <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: fuchsia; font-family: ';';\">Elated about most of this but,\u00a0 we will discuss the nuclear waste issue when we are not in a mode of gratitude&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: blue; font-family: ';';\">Science<\/span><span style=\"font-family: ';';\"><br \/>\n$3 billion for the National Science Foundation for basic science and <span style=\"color: black;\">engineering research<\/span>; (<span style=\"color: blue;\">Yes, hopefully explore the ocean and more with Tidal Energy)<br \/>\n<\/span>$1 billion for NASA;<br \/>\n$1.6 billion research in areas such as climate science, biofuels, high-energy physics and nuclear physics. .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: red; font-family: ';';\">Infrastructure<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: ';';\">$46 billion for transportation projects, including $27 billion for highway and bridge construction and repair;<br \/>\n$8.4 billion for mass transit;<br \/>\n$8 billion for construction of high-speed railways and $1.3 billion for Amtrak;<br \/>\n$4.6 billion for the Army Corps of Engineers;<br \/>\n$4 billion for public housing improvements;<br \/>\n$6.4 billion for clean and drinking water projects;<br \/>\n$7 billion to bring broadband Internet service to underserved areas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 14.25pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #339966; font-family: ';';\">Expanded college credit<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: ';';\">About $13 billion to provide a $2,500 expanded tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010.
