The Script for Transformation

Historic Kilauea Lighthouse. Kilauea Hawaii

Transitions leading to transformation continue to exceed imagined speeds, both globally, and locally. Sometimes it occurs like we are all collectively dancing the “Cha-Cha” or “Tango” going backwards to thrust forward, in a rhythm created by the tension of opposing forces, coming to one. A triune perspective, like the wholeness of the Yin-Yang symbol, helps temper the warming-heating contrast to go forward with momentum needed to better build movement and strengthen a collective consciousness of being in a myriad of crises, on this one Planet Earth.

Aligned in the depths of the mission and vision of what started as a Call for a “World Team” and morphed from Team World Corps, non-profit, and ultimately residing in our named registered; “World Team Now,” says the words of the visions’ priorities.  What if all in the world worked together as a team? Taking action together, teaming-up? The vision was to change the perspective of even divided hemispheres, the Global North against the Global South, but instead a real whole, World Team that united for our collective survival of all species in harmony with one another. Then what would be the goals?  WHO do we play against? What is the equivalent of a global race or game, that needs to be won for our future?  This movement is organically unfolding with little help from the mysterious ways that come from higher up.

Opening plenary, SDG Action Weekend 9/16/2023

The United Nations (UN) “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) — yes, in one’s brain the acronym tends to get confused with a contagious disease.  The UN speaks the language of acronyms, and this one gets a laugh or cry as we’ve learned when sharing about the goals publically most recently in Kauai, Hawaii USA. World Team Now’s systems solutions work on island resiliency and for the health of waters, especially the Ocean with a curriculum.

Bi-location is something many of us wanted to master, but now the team was growing to have at least one of us physically representing at the UN, and one on an island.  The beauty of these times is we can have a virtual and actual physical presence. Now there are so many people with the common vision each going forward in their own creative way at the United Nations and especially on islands to hold the light for a future.

The ironic laugh or cry in the corridors inside plenaries of the United Nations meeting rooms, on the home island of Manhattan is more about the seriousness of the situation we are in collectively with natural resources to be reprioritized. The Global Goals, targets and indicators to be achieved by 2030 are ambitious.  “Pie in the Sky,” is a remark I heard along the journey of World Team, too, but it is important to have values to aim for, however like regions of the world boundaries divided what divides us can limit us until the division is united by us people.

SDG Media Zone at the SDG Action Weekend & Summit

This Sustainable Development Goals Summit that preceded the 78th UNGA (United Nations General Assembly) was to take a look at our progress and set the tone for the work towards much needed transformation— action, beyond the bureaucratic siloed approach that has contributed to the crises we face, in the effort to aid. The perspective is what was called to check, at this half-time point since in 2015, and how to engage all people.  It is becoming more clear as what was falls away and becomes beyond the future we want, is the future that is Divinely inspired to become us all to remain being human here

Thankfully, these thoughts contemplated over 5 decades ago, are becoming a collective priority, expressed in myriads of diverse ways of action, played out creatively.  Next year more of the movement will play out in the public sphere to inspire all to participate. Out of the opposing tension of contrasting views, beliefs, and values in civil society, governments, corporations, and institutions, births an opportunity to see the light of peace collectively.

Especially prioritized in the hearts of youth today— peace in creative collective action is being demonstrated.  Youth armed with indigenous wisdom passed forward, innovative science and pioneering technology to lead with a Call for “All People”….

All People, those words remind of the lyrics of a beautiful song written by souls called “Voices of the World” gifted to us to use from brothers and sisters, a family of a common Call, as each individual made it to the Earth Summit / Global Forum in Rio Di Janiero for World Team decades ago that forged a bond over the years continuing to build on the collective movement.

Sunset North Shore Kauai

Here is where the Biodiversity Treaty, Law of the Sea, the annual Conference of the Parties COP, and other globally carved out efforts to meet and take on collective global environmental and social challenges rooted in the hearts. Many of these documents of global public policy roots were in those grounds of RIO or Rio+20, and now getting ready for COP28.  So many individuals committed to the long journey to show a resilient world with net zero energy and renewed systems coming back to respect an intimacy for nature-based solutions, for the next generation— for a regenerative future!

Although not from the present vantage point predictable, the 17 SDGs, aka the Global Goals, are for the higher possibility of what we each could be individually or together for the future transcending our past patterns and systems of organizing life on planet earth, ideally beyond one country.

In each breath, there is a choice to make a difference, in 24hrs/1Day, and/or a lifetime, sometimes we each have a choice of what to prioritize, and we all have in common a capacity to love. How do we make our place where love could be the priority for all by how we live?

SDG Digital, to accelerate the SDGs by digitization Sunday, Sept 17, 2023, UN SDG Action Weekend

With our roots in intercultural New York, state of mind, and at the UN SDG Summit, as world leaders have come together, and with our feet still in the sand, for resiliency in Kauai, Hawaii; bi-location would be of value, as we grow this team.

Holding the vision for World Team amidst a myriad of ways to “organize the world” through crises, allows for something organic to emerge. When not floating on the Ocean, teaching, advocating, and working on the curricula for certification we are virtually building out a World Team.  We hope to show you more soon.

Ocean Float

With the Ocean-Float Skate-Roll we are growing a way to represent and engage our communities in different places to experience more intimacy with the earth, land (A’aina) and Ocean waters (Moana, Kai). We are excited about the Ocean-Float curricula; clear the past out and join us in the Ocean, for the OCEAN, and YOU, and us all.

We have donated some sessions for Ocean-Float and Skate Roll to the auction now taking place virtually to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the legendary CK Chu Tai Chi, in New York, NY USA.  The studio has not only helped transform us, but the neighborhood, and the island of Manhattan.  It is remarkable to witness the energy contributed to Times Square, NYC, where Ck Chu Tai Chi is based, and all who Teamed-up for the transformation of the heart of the city.  Team-up for transformation is key. Hope you can join us in this next chapter of island Ocean advocacy works teaming-up for us as One Body starting with one body— or all parts of us.  Along with one’s mind and spirit and soul there in, we practice being one with all within and throughout.

World Team Now’s approach to the Sustainable Development Goals is like a sampling of small-scale systems solutions organically coming from the island innovation discovered, that is nature-based and rooted in the heritage of indigenous culture‘s wisdom, augmented by technology to boost our capacity to scale.

We are working to pilot systems solutions, consciously chosen.  For example, with transportation, Bertrand Piccard of the Solar Impulse shares the overview of that system vision here.

The action-oriented Summit for the Future, comprising a chapeau and five chapters on sustainable development and financing for development; international peace and security; science, technology, and innovation and digital cooperation; youth and future generations; and transforming global governance.

Specific measurable results with a “Common Agenda” for multilateralism are explained more here.

Together for environmental and social justice, as ONE, as in One People, ONE Ocean, One Body, One Earth. Teaming-up so literally, as the UN slogan goes so “no one gets left behind,” but we become one in the future.

2015: A Year of Global Transformation

I think we all can agree that the time for change is here, now, and ripe! Next year, as the clock turns to 2016, may we look back on 2015 and realize we were able to take advantage of the freedom to play in the peaceful transformation of our world, and we indeed chose to take action and use our highest capabilities to imagine a better way forward.

Ready, set, CHARGE! Back when Electric Vehicle public chargers were just coming out in California, World Team Now helped the City of Malibu lead the EV charge. Screen the premiere of the edited footage of our “CHARGE”:

Jumping into the future we wish to look back and label 2015, as a year of “global transformation” –where our media platform; “World Team” became a tool to give all people the freedom and ability to play in the peaceful transformation of our world.  World Team Now’s mission, vision and goals were better fulfilled. Beyond the division of language and culture all people began to see the possibility of our World Team project.

In 2015 we teamed up to support our partner organizations and campaigns, in the environmental movement focusing on #Action2015, and honoring the clock’s time here on earth sounding, TckTckTck, the science behind 350.org made sense, and through Avaaz, our voices sung in harmony reaching more people, as we all teamed up for stewardship of our planet. A year everybody embraced change— to live in better balance with our resources.

2015 was a year world leaders reached an agreement to take action with global policy, better serving our environment with respect for nature, and humanity. Pope Francis’s Environmental Encyclical connecting faith and science helped  to move all people to better understanding and into climate action.

2015 events built the foundation for change in our structures; with actual buildings in “Getting to Zero”- National Forum, and uniting the nations in, Paris France at UNFCCC’s COP21 for climate action, resulting in global policy, that did justice to our planet’s situation.

Projects like Planet Solar, and the all solar airplane; Solar Impulse 2 succeeded in the around their world flight; and these projects also inspired many about the possibilities of renewable energy, like solar in 2015.  The 10 Island Challenge, moved vulnerable island nations as examples of being powerfully responsible flexible and adaptive.  All of this inspired us to take responsibility and really consider the triple bottom line— people and planet, along with profit.

2015 was a year we made a different choice as to what industries received subsidies, cut industries and projects that didn’t serve the collective stewardship of all people and for our world’s sustainability. Instead we chose to prioritized our collective resources for renewable energy. We were indeed “happy” inside ourselves, and our outer world reflected this happiness within ALL.

We imagined a better path forward in 2015, took action, and it became our reality. Are you willing to imagine, act, and team-up to make this possibility real?

May we all charge forward to live with love and stewardship for all species and our planet! We can imagine better possibilities of ways to live! Let’s team up for change in 2015 and realize our dreams!

As we look back at the year prior, and imagine the possibilities for the year 2015, we can let it inform us now.  We wish you a wonderful year that is prosperous, healthy, and where love lives present.

Change seems to be accelerating. Change, not just with our climate, but also with the “systems” humanity has created, spurred by Globalization.  Whether that be the legal system, political system, financial system, health care system, or educational system— the systems in place to provide the world’s basic needs.  Have we learned to scale our systems to meet Globalization’s challenges? Humanity can learn  from how nature scales to support the whole—  Biomimicry of man-made systems seems key to the stewardship of our earth and for an organically sustainable future.

Global transformation is in the works, and is needed within all systems including those within our one global governing body – the United Nations. Friday ended the two week climate talks in Bonn, Germany. The disappointment was all too familiar as it seemed like yesterday, but it was a year ago when World Team Now produced the event as part of the UNFCC’s Rio+20, and also an event at The People’s Summit.  We went down to Rio once again with great expectations for more progress than what was able to be achieved inside the United Nations’ RIO+20 conference’s time. So now, it is distressing that there was a huge snag caused by foot dragging by Russia in a key entity, the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI). At least there was some progress in the overarching 2015 international climate action agreement. Why wait until disaster? We clearly need more projects that influence public perception. “To see is to believe” for most, so we need more examples to inspire the masses to embrace change.

At World Team Now, we are growing, and eager to see the change that happens once our non-profit World Team Now can be supported by our World Team multi-media platform, and broadcast.  Our World Team project too needs to be demonstrated to be fully understood, and to that end our development of our pilot project continues.  While we are working to have this World Team model up in full scale, we have been occupied with events.  In California, for example what we did in Malibu with Earth Day (photo album here), with our “Ride & Drive”, and “The Circle-Up  Around Renewable Energy”.  We owe a shout-out to all of those who showed up to participate or volunteer, and for the support of Nissan of Thousand Oaks, and Edwards/Wildman.  We hope to be sharing some of the edited footage soon at WTN’s upcoming event September 26 and 27.   Another example is what World Team Now is doing in NY to support ACORE’s Renewable Energy Financing Forum (REFF)-Wall Street. Join us and get 20% off registration by using this code “SPT20WTN”. REFF is the perfect activity, included with more than 20 Energy Industry Events for New York City’s Energy Week, June 24th-28th.

Please save the dates for World Team Now’s upcoming annual event in Malibu September 27th & 28th, 2013. Watch World Team Now’s Event’s page for more details about the timing.

Speaking of timing, two great renewable energy demonstration projects born in Switzerland also have “New York” as a destination.  PlanetSolar, is the world’s largest solar boat, and it includes an interesting research component with the project it just arrived in New York.  The soaring approach to change done state by state has value. The Solar Impulse is a renewable energy demonstration project with great potential. You can take flight and  follow in real time on their final segment of the “Across America” trip, and join the history in the making as they land in New York early July.

Planet Solar is in New York

PlanetSolar reaches New York, the second american stopover of its 2013 campaign

The two states where World Team Now is based are proudly taking leadership positions in the environmental transformation needed to address climate change— let’s hear it for California and New York, especially Mayor Bloomberg’s action plan to address the affects of climate change .  The water situation and the issue of drought is rapidly becoming more serious, due to climate change.  Often, to execute solutions at a scale needed to address the affects of climate change, bonds are created.  California is taking the lead with creating a Water Bond.  World Team Now was present when Senator Fran Pavley, Chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee, hosted the Hearing; “Encouraging Regional Water Solutions: Implications for a Statewide Water Bond” at Pepperdine University.  Californians are set to vote on the $11.1 billion water bond in November, 2014.

More action needs to be able to take place on a state level and even city level, which gives more weight to the “Think globally, act locally” mantra—  but not to preclude think global act global actions which are needed as well— the local can catalyze the global.    It is a huge victory to finally permanently close the troubled San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant in California, not just for the immediate risk of radiation, but also in respect of the long term issue of what to do with the radioactive rods which are byproducts of nuclear reactors. With no safe disposal protocol for these rods, even closed plants will continue to pose risks to the public and our planet forever The pressure is on for Southern California Edison to strive towards truly renewable energy— the kind with no radioactive byproducts to threaten public safety. It is time for us citizens to spearhead energy independence, be active in supplying a diversity of local renewable energy resources (supporting grid stability as a benefit), and to learn how to responsibly use energy.

But it is time for the whole of us in society to consider “Act locally, Act globally- Think of us all as part of ONE”.

2012-A Parable in The Rose…Parade

For Valentine’s Day give a gift that expresses your love, and supports WTN, click here

The 123rd annual Rose Bowl Parade forecasted a historical year of transition and change for 2012 with the theme titled “Just Imagine” — a valuable prescription given the state of our world now. This light hearted, feel-good all-American tradition to bring in the New Year focused on the roses, with floats that creatively augment the authentic beauty of nature showcasing how to decorate with the font of real natural materials.  This might be considered more than a parable for us all— especially with what is up for us all regarding energy, sustainability and use of our natural resources.  This year the float’s themes together told a potentially prophetic story for humanity up against time.  Within this theme, was the ever prevalent aspect of time woven through the parade whether it was the subtle reference to the Doomsday clock or the Mayan prophecies for 2012 of the possibility of humanity being extinct. Click here to get the panoramic visuals from The LATimes or see the slide show from Channel 9, or the parade video from KTLA channel 5.

The American New Year’s Day tradition, as classic as apple pie, ice cream, and lemonade, did not happen “classically” on New Year’s Day.  It was postponed a day— due to the “Never on a Sunday” rule, with respect for a day of rest and prayer being a good old fashion virtue.  Lovely that such a celebrated event respects a day of rest resisting the “7/11’” franchise that now could be renamed 24/7.   However the representatives of ‘We are the 99%” who trailed the parade from the Occupy Movement, did not get an official permit to be part of the parade itself, and the coveted traditional broadcast media with estimated 40 million viewers would not cover their action as an official part of the parade.  Those of the Occupy Movement marching were still visible in association with this “normal” American tradition.

This “norming” vs. the “storming’ of traditional protest action helped to preserve freedom.  Like the reality of the thorn, it is meant to prick, yes, but it is there by nature’s design to protect the plant’s natural beauty and is perhaps a new paradigm for our world.

Instead of a float, the Occupy Movement marched with a blowup80-foot long Constitution  of the United States with the words, “We the People” and “We the Corporations,” signed by members from the Occupy Movement.  A group named “The Billionaires” were singing and waving fake money given to the public.

The visibility of the Occupy Movement marching with official support to be able to “unofficially follow,” the parade’s end is a coup.  Not just to those who witnessed it, but in the way it was extended through social media outlets on the web whose broad global reach can dwarf the traditional sources, and where the quality of the content isn’t compromised and constrained by the “news” deadlines and corporate sponsors timelines and the broadcast network’s ad buys.

But this wasn’t the only way history was made this year— the parade also introduced several new sponsors with floats to celebrate centennials.  Time being up was celebrated by those who have stood the test over a hundred years of existence.  The parade honored people more for their personal sacrifice then their fame or celebrity stardom, also a welcome change shifting from popular culture to people celebrated because they are truly respect.

It was also the first time in over 30 years that HIV/Aids was acknowledged in memory of those who died and advocates with a float in honor of the late Elizabeth Taylor and her foundation.  This was an act demonstrating a huge transformation of inclusion vs. the disruptive protest for ignoring HIV/Aids in 1991.

Although the Rose Bowl is not The International Grand Prix or the World Cup, it still attracts an estimated 40 million American viewers and captures the attention of people of all ages.

The all-natural-ingredients stricture for the floats’ decorations were broken or appealed for amendment this year twice— to allow plastic— once with permission with a waiver for the glass that the extraterrestrials used to make their lemonade, and then again with recycled plastic that made up the plastic octopus for the Occupy protestors.  [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wPBqV6ChLPk]

It is an interesting commentary of our times to allow and embrace plastic.  To recycled plastic, and reuse the old, is a way of bio-mimicry of nature  in that recycling is more than a sustainable theme, it is natural.

LATimes  nice piece about the history and makings of the parade and one float

Floats such as Occupy Los Angeles’ people-powered Occupy Octopus, a 100 foot in diameter octopus (to symbolize corporate greed) with many arms— made completely from recycled plastic bags took part in the parade.  The day was a success even though the broadcast media funded by corporations cut off the parade’s coverage after the last float. 100,000 spectators or more lined the streets and filled seats. The voices of the 99% were heard. The procession marched a few blocks off the end of the parade route to end at the Pasadena City Hall where many gathered to hear moving speeches from many representatives of different Occupy cities.  Although some were disturbed by the lack of beauty and feel good marketing from the Occupiers, others found the inclusion of the protesters refreshed the parade with relevance addressing what many people are feeling at this time which brought in a more serious audience for the parade, which they say is otherwise mostly a feel-good marketing campaign for corporations, chambers of commerce, and civic groups.

The floats themsleves are almost like topic sentences in the paragraphs to describe humanity’s evolution;

“Idea Factory” — takes ideas and magically turns them into reality (won the theme trophy). Here is how it works:  a series of clocks and gears drive a conveyor belt of ideas, and it converts them into the real thing!  It presents new technology that might transform our future, like the electric vehicle extended batteries.

“Dream Machine
”-innovation
“Sweet Dreams”- with Kenny G
“Just Imagine”-Wells Fargo
“If Pigs Could Fly”
“Fighting Evil Machines”-PowerRangers-core values of teamwork, friendship and fitness
“Enchanted Paradise”
“Surf’s Up”-Malibu classic with dogs surfing!
“One More Day” The family of Christina-Taylor Green, the 9-year-old girl killed in the mass shooting that injured U.S. Rep Gabrielle Giffords last year, on the Donate Life float honoring organ donors. The Greens donated their daughter’s corneas.  Clocks measuring time representatives of recipients of organ donors showed life is to precious not even waste one minute.
“Spirit of Prosperity and Harmony” the year of the Dragon–China Airlines celebrating the Chinese New Years

“The Garden of Imagination” shineshine daydream yellow rose—brothers’ astronaut, rose care expert 5 million miles later after a rose went to the space station

“You are the controller” X-box 360 Microsoft Kinect ; bringing sports like skiing, surfing and dancing to the interactive youth viewer that makes a once costly only accessible to the few, and experience many can virtually enjoy in their home—2011 most popular song that inspired flash mobs like the one I was in, Usher, DJ’s Got us falling in love again”

Best  display of fantasy and Imagination– Plastic (special waiver) everything is supposed to  covered with something live but got waiver-Lemonade-aliens space ship

“When Life Gives you Lemons,” where extraterrestrial entrepreneurs crash into a lemon tress in Pasadena.  The float reminded me of this article– best display of fantasy and imagination,a nd the B-52 style of music brought it even more down to earth..

Cal Poly Universities-“To the Rescue” woman super heroes by buildings Catastrophe intervention by superheroes to the rescue; stretch guy, strong guy, fly girl– building collapse, and train wreck

Larger than Bible “He who believe in Jesus shall never die but have Eternal Life” John 3:36

The float “The Unimaginable,” another words engineering for the “Black Swan”—from guess who? Farmers Insurance, who is invested in keeping us–… afraid, I mean safe, and protected…It demonstrates how one small mishaps can balloon into a major disaster, we know about that in 2011 but Fukushima is better described as catastrophic, and San Onofre’s recent closure and the status of the nuclear plant is something the NRC is looking into now.  Thank you, California Senator Barbara Boxer for the appeal and your letter to the NRC in an attempt for accountability.

The Grand Marshal’s Trophy for most creative concept and design again went to the Discover Card float, “The Dream Believers,” which broke down! “The Dream Believers” by Discover Card, had a little problem with their float and had to be towed during the parade by AAA. There ironic theme; if you dream it and believe you can achieve it, was broken.. Laughter was unstoppable, to see this floats message which encourages the American process of borrow before you have the means to pay by using a credit card is not dissimilar to the situation with our bank loans for mortgages, the foreclosures, etc. The float’s break down ended up mocking it originally intended message “Preserving Paradise”-Dole

“Look Back, Move Forward”-City of Torrence

California Clock Company- Sports wheels skateboards on and off the float with swing dancing 50’s juke box

“The World at Peace”

“Dinosaurs at LA’s Backyard”—City of LA  La Brea Tar Pits, reminds us of the possibility at this time of humanity’s extinction

“Everybody Walk”-Kielbasi

The US Marine Corps. Mounted Color Guard-an equestrian team that works out of Bartstow, Causing wild mustangs from the “adopt a horse program” trained by inmates of Carson Nevada prison in a 90 day program and then boot camp for horses..

Sign of the times when sponsors of floats are the Trader Joes, (won the craftsmanship award)  Microsoft and Paramount Pictures for the first time celebrating 3 cententials100 years in Hollywood- Universities like Loyola Marymount for there 100; Learn, Lead, Serve-City of Torrance, Roy Rodgers 100-preserved Trigger and Bullet

Not missed was the advertisement for alcohol, but the famous Clydesdales of Annheiser Busch after almost 60 years of being a sponsor were a sign of the times…

Numerous charity’s works are celebrated; for homeless women, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital admits regardless of the patients ability to pay, what a concept! The Rotary International to eradicate polio– inch worm showed progress inching long. Liz Taylor’s stand for Aids Foundation, Kwanis, Girl Scouts, Lions Club and the City of Hope.

Through rose colored lenses— perhaps keeping our eyes focused on the beauty we can better embrace the thorns as an essential part of the rose.  It is important to just imagine the possibilities and at the same time deal with the facts of reality. Fukushima is not over, neither is Chernobyl— the effects of radiation live on.  Just last week we had a local encounter at the San Onofre nuclear power plant, which remains closed, due to the radiation leak, and faulty steam tubes.  While we’ve begun to re-license nuclear power plants built to the tune of billions without the proper reflection on lessons learned from Fukushima. It is indeed a curious time. We still have to figure out how to dispose of nuclear waste safely if we will continue to use nuclear power.  More countries are growing their uranium enrichment programs, so as long as we have nuclear power there will be an excuse to advance towards nuclear weapons. With countries fighting one another over resources, it becomes too easy to push a button that will dramatically alter humanity’s path on earth.  Is this the only way we can ingrain in all people to reconsider our priorities? Both radiation, and love are only seen by their effects.  Is this what it takes to transform the way our world uses resources and shift our priorities? Is this the only way to reinvent how we do live life globally— to awaken what we all know to be true?

Will the UN’s Earth Summit Rio+20 awaken the possibility of a global energy policy that is enforceable and will override divided grid-locked countries’ abilities to act— like the USA, with our divided congress?  Will we be forced to consider sustainable solutions that are for all people?  Like John Lennon said, “Imagine,” and the resolution– the parade suggests this year is to “Just Imagine” — a good idea. Ideas with human ingenuity from a spiritual font may be one of our greatest gifts, lets unwrap the “present”.  The theme of the rose carries through to Valentine’s Day, and you can support World Team Now’s work and give to someone in your heart, with roses, click here! Please spread the love, it’s what is needed.

Global Climate Action a Success- Now for More!

picts1

The global day of Climate Action orchestrated by 350.org was indeed a success if measured by the people and venues around the world who all participated.  What a fun way for the public to learn about climate science, through community team work.  We at World Team Now had our “O” make it into the North America 350 Montage, and were excited to be on the team that produced events. We all have to celebrate our moments of success especially now.  The tasks are daunting with the USA energy policy facing Congress, and with the hopes of a Global Energy Treaty coming out the upcoming international COP15 UN conference. It is time for our world to create policies with the best interest for all and commit to a plan of action for humanity to live in balance with our resources.   This  seems impossible, but knowing our future is at stake, based on Climate Science  presses the urgency of protecting our natural resources now while we can make a change. But the steps occurring, now like the funding for  smart grid projects,  electric vehicles, incentives and programs supporting green buildings & jobs, and  alternative energy projects  are  all  good places to begin a huge transformation.
